The Art Club will meet after school two Wednesdays a month, and will cost $20 per student for art supplies.

This trip is open to any current 6th or 7th grade student in good standing. See you there!

The Schmucker NJHS teamed up with the Grissom NJHS for a community service project. 

On Nov. 1, Schmucker’s Spell Bowl Team won the Regional Championship spelling 69 of 72 words correctly!

Team members include: Sobia Ahmed, Tasneem Ahmed, Alex Birong, Charles Cain, Answir Fitwi, Salem Fitwi, Inas Heryadi, Zachary Jabian, Maria Kallookulangara, Ashley Oh, J.R. Roach, Faisal Syed and Grace Wang. The team is coached by Sue Dale.

The State Competition invitations were scheduled to be issued Nov. 2 and will be held Nov. 10.

Schmucker National Junior Honor Society sponsored a weeklong donation drive (Sept. 18-22) to help the people in Texas and Florida after the catastrophic hurricanes, Harvey and Irma, hit earlier this month.

School wide students were asked to bring in items such as cleaning products, baby items, canned food, toiletries, and school supplies. Students collected enough items to fill 30 boxes. The items were collected for Feed the Hungry, an organization committed to helping the people affected by the hurricanes.

Schmucker’s VEX Robotics Team 775 SpartanBots recently got a nice surprise.

All students who qualify for NJHS should have received their application and additional instructions in the mail. Interested candidates will need to submit their application and letter of recommendation by the firm deadline, December 11. Please see the instructions that were mailed to you as it is very important everything is done according to guidelines.
