Tryouts for girls basketball (7th and 8th graders) will be December 19, 20, and 21. In order to tryout, you must have a current physical on file with Register My Athlete and all other files submitted to Register My Athlete before you are able to tryout. Cheerleading tryouts for the boys basketball season will be held on Monday,  October 10th and Tuesday,  October 11th from 4-6:30 pm in the gym.

2022-2023 SMS Cheerleader Updated Info:

Tryouts for the Schmucker Football Cheerleading team will take place in the gym from 4-6:00 PM on the dates of May 17, 18, & 19.

If you are interested, please email Varsity Coach Rita Szweda at rszweda@phm.k12.in.us before March 25 and she will provide the tryout information and your name will be added to the tryout list.

Girls’ Volleyball is open to 7^th and 8^th graders. The first day of Try-outs is Tuesday, August 3^rd, from 4:15pm – 6:00 PM. 

The first cut tryouts are Wednesday, August 4^th from 4:15pm – 6:00pm.

The second cut tryouts are Thursday, August 5^th from 4:15pm – 6:00pm.

If needed, the third cut tryouts are Friday, August 6^th from 4:15pm – 6:00pm.

A second round of Cheer tryouts will be held for all athletes who were unable to attend the first round of tryouts in April. It will be held on July 19, 20, and 21st from 9-10 AM in the gym at Schmucker.

All cheerleaders trying out will need to enter at Door L on the North side of Schmucker.
