On Saturday, Feb. 2, Schmucker's VEX Robotics team 775, the SpartanBots, competed at a tournament in Plymouth.
Our 4 teams, 775S, 775X, 775Y, and 775Z had a great day! The tournament was a blended middle school/ high school tournament. Out of the 53 teams in attendance, there were 12 middle school teams and 41 high school teams.
Our teams finished the qualifying part of the tournament this morning ranked 16th, 18th, 35th, and 42nd. This is great, considering our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders were competing against some teams of juniors and seniors!
In elimination play, one of our teams, 775Y lost in the round of 8. Two of our teams 775X and 775Z lost in the quarter-finals.
Overall, a great day!
Our teams will compete next at a tournament in Warsaw on February 23rd.
